Whew! The spring rush is finally starting to subside and all of us here at The Great Outdoors are starting to enjoy the beautiful summer weather!
As the days become longer and hotter it’s important to keep an eye on your chlorine levels of your pool in order to avoid the growth of algae. Phosphates have become more of a nuisance this year with many customers having to deal with the ongoing issue of algae blooms in their pools. Phosphates are caused by a number of reasons such as, dirt, urine, bird droppings, sweat and detergents. If you suspect that your pool is contaminated with phosphates bring us a water sample and we can confirm your suspicions with a simple 1 minute test. It is critical to treat the pool water as soon as possible with phosphate remover in order to avoid a swimming pool nightmare!
